Parks & Recreation Department

This department provides all the normal repair and maintenance of village parks and recreational areas. This department is also responsible for scheduling of events and recreational opportunities at each park complex.

Paris Street Park

This nearly 10 acre park area is located on the southern edge of the Village near Lake Loramie. This park offers something for all ages. It contains two ball diamonds, playground equipment, volleyball courts, multipurpose courts and a shelter house with restroom facilities. This park is a grassy open area for recreational activities. It is lighted.

Four Seasons Recreational Complex

This 50 acre park is located on the northern edge of the village. There are a variety of activities available. The park hosts eight lighted ball diamonds; 2 little league with grass infields, 2 little league with dirt infields, 2 softball, 1 baseball, and 1 High School softball diamond. Located at the center of each diamond complex are restroom and concession facilities along with functioning press boxes and scoreboards. Batting cages are also available.

Although swimming is prohibited, a 1.8 acre pond is available for fishing. In addition, playground equipment is located near the main entrance parking area and also in the rear of the complex near the back parking area. There are five shelter houses available, one with a center fire pit. Walking trails allow visitors to meander through the park. For winter recreation activities, a high sledding hill is located in the north east corner of the complex and the pond is available for ice skating. The complex boasts plenty of well-lit parking areas and vending machines. Recent additions to Four Seasons park include, two lighted full-sized basketball courts and eight lighted pickleball courts.

If you would like to reserve one of the six shelter houses at the Four Seasons or Paris Street parks for a family, community or business function, reservations are taken beginning March 1st. Shelters with restrooms are $110.00 ($60 non-refundable payment and $50 deposit) and shelters without restrooms are $90.00 ($40 non-refundable payment and $50 deposit) due at the time of the reservation.

Oktoberfest / Centennial Park

These two parks are located in the heart of Minster, and are most commonly known as the home of the annual Minster Oktoberfest.

Minster Machine Centennial Park on the north of Fourth Street, features a newly remodeled Gazebo with a beautiful mosaic dance/seating area, as well as plenty of open green space for use during summer time concerts and events. Centennial Park also houses the Veterans Memorial, where we proudly raise our flags.

Oktoberfest Park on the south of Fourth Street features a large dance pad, utilized mostly during Oktoberfest, but has been beautifully constructed to represent the heritage of our Village crest.
