  • Where do I go to register to vote?

    Residents can register to vote online, at the Auglaize County Board of Elections, Stallo Library or at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

  • Where can I vote at?

    The current polling place for both Minster precincts is at the Minster K of C Hall on North Main Street.

  • Where do I go to acquire a dog license?

    Dog licenses can be obtained from the Auglaize County Auditor’s Office in Wapakoneta.

  • When does leaf pick-up begin in the Village?

    Leaf pickup occurs Monday through Friday from early October until the first week of December.

  • Where can I purchase a Minster flag?

    Minster flags can be purchased at the Minster Historical Society Museum or at the Village of Minster Administration Building. Flags are currently $50.00.

  • Can I dispose of large items such as a television or chair in the trash?

    Rumpke currently allows residents to dispose of one large item per week in the trash; however, Rumpke needs to be notified in advance of the item being set out.  Please contact Rumpke at 1-800-942-5030 to let them know you are going to set out a large item.  Items such as a mattress, box springs or cloth covered chairs or sofas must be completely wrapped in plastic before Rumpke will pick these items up.

  • When can I rent a shelter house?

    The Village begins taking shelter house rentals for the current year on March 1st.

  • Can I switch electrical suppliers?

    The Village of Minster electrical system is not an open system; therefore, if you are served by the village electric utility you are not eligible to switch suppliers.

  • Where can I recycle light bulbs, batteries or my old computer?

    Residents who have these types of items should contact the Auglaize County Solid Waste Management District at 419-394-1270 to learn about opportunities to recycle these items.

  • Does the Village sell stone or top soil?

    Occasionally, the Village has stone and top soil to sell. If you are interested in these items, residents should contact the Village Administration Offices to inquire about their availability.

  • Who is responsible for the installation of the military banners?

    The military banners that are on the light poles throughout town are sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion.  If you are interested in honoring someone with a military banner please contact a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

  • I have questions about filing my village income tax forms?

    The Village of Minster contracts with the City of St. Marys Income Tax Department to handle and process the village income tax.  If residents have any questions related to the Village’s Income Tax, they should contact the City of St. Marys Income Tax Department at 419-394-3304.

  • What improvements do I have to obtain a Zoning/Building Permit for?

    All new buildings and structures, alterations, additions, garage, fences and pools or changes in use, or other activities connected to construction or development require a Zoning Permit.

  • I would like to put a shed on my property, do I need a Zoning permit for that?

    Yes, you would need a building permit to erect a shed.  The Zoning Administrator needs to make sure that the placement of your shed does not conflict with property lines or utility easements.  If you do not obtain a Zoning Permit before placing your shed, you may have to move your shed to be in compliance with the Zoning Regulations.

  • I have a street light in front of my house that is out. Who do I notify?

    Street lights that are not working should be reported to the Village Administration Offices at 419.628.2595.  Once reported into the Village Offices, they will notify the electrical department to make the necessary repairs.
