Residents Urged to Conserve Water

The U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook released Thursday by the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center said drought conditions in Ohio and as well as most of the U.S. will persist or intensify through Oct. 31. The recent rain has helped, but has not totally eliminated the drought concerns.
Given the persistent drought conditions, Village residents and business are urged to practice water conservation. “We are not issuing any water restrictions or bans at this time. In the last two months we have seen a dramatic increase in the volume of water being produced at our Water Treatment Plant each day. While we feel our water supply will be adequate to continue meeting Village needs, we would like to ask local community members to take action in reducing their individual water consumptions since the drought conditions are expected to persist for several more months,” said Don Harrod Village Administrator.
