East Fifth Street Improvement Project Progressing

With the recent nice weather, Beaverdam Contracting has made good progress on the East Fifth Street Improvement Project.  Work on installing underground utilities in the area continues as crews have installed part of the water line on Hamilton Street and are currently working on installing water lines on Paris Street.  In the upcoming weeks, crews will be replacing the water line on East Fifth Street as well as continuing the water line further north on Hamilton Street.  Beaverdam Contracting has already completed the installation of the storm sewer on Fifth Street as well as a small portion of the sanitary sewer line on North Paris Street.

As work around the intersections of both Paris and Fifth, and Hamilton and Fifth Street continues, both Hamilton and Paris Streets will remain closed to traffic in this area.

If the weather remains good, it is Beaverdam Contracting’s goal to have all underground utilities installed well before the required deadline.
