Auglaize County VALU Class Now Forming

The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is currently taking applications for the 2012-2013 Auglaize County VALU Class.  This class is an excellent way to build your Auglaize County network, while learning a good deal about the county and having fun as well.

The VALU class visits various locations around Auglaize County based on the following areas of interest:

Local Government
Health and Human Services
Safety Services
Industry and Economic Development
History and Tourism

Classes are held the third Thursday of each month beginning on Thursday September 20th, 2012 with the Orientation class and concludes with the Graduation Luncheon in June.  Class trips and tours provide access to people and organizations you wouldn't ordinarily get access to, which can be very beneficial for your professional network, not to mention just plain interesting.  The first and last sessions feature guest speakers on Leadership and we provide lunch and a panel discussion during each outing.

Some highlights include:

Neil Armstrong Airport
Crown Equipment
The Minster Machine Co.
Auglaize County Education Center
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital
Auglaize County Administration Building (including County Commissioners and other elected officials)
