CIC Annual Financial Report Available

The Annual Report for the Minster Community Improvement Corporation for the year ended 2009 has been completed and is available for public inspection in the Village Administrative Offices, 5 W. Fourth St., Minster, Ohio between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A copy of this report can be provided upon request.

Advertisement for Bids - 3000 Gallon Tanker

Sealed bids for the Village of Minster 3000 Gallon Tanker will be received by the Village of Minster until 10:00 a.m. on March 26, 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

In general, the Work consists of the manufacture and furnishing of all equipment as specified in the bidding documents and F.O.B. delivery of said equipment.

The Bidding Documents which include specifications may be examined and obtained at the Village of Minster, Administrative Offices, 5 West Fourth Street, Minster, Ohio 45865.

Bids must be signed and submitted on the separate bidding forms included in the Bidding Documents, sealed in an envelope properly marked with the project name and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.

No Bidder shall withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual opening thereof.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is deemed by Owner to be most favorable to the Owner.

Rumpke Announces Garbage Pick Up Back on Schedule

Rumpke just announced Minster garbage collection is back on schedule. Rumpke ran a limited pick up route today and will be back in town to run the normal Friday route, plus the Thursday collection route. Please put all garbage out tonight for pick up 2/12/10. Rumpke Announces Garbage Pick Up Delay

Rumpke has announced that due to current weather conditions garbage collection in Minster will be delayed one day. If your normal pick up day is Thursday, your garbage will now be collected on Friday. If your normal pick up day is Friday, your garbage will be collected on Saturday. Please contact Rumpke at 1.800.942.5030 to report any missed collections.

Ice Skating at Four Seasons Park

The Parks & Recreation Department has announced the pond at Four Seasons Park is currently open for ice skating and other activities. Please note the signs posted at the pond to determine if skating is permitted in the coming days.

Zoning Board of Appeals to Conduct Public Hearing

The Minster Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on February 9, 2010 in the Village of Minster Council Chambers located at 5 West Fourth Street, Minster, Ohio at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the public meeting is to consider the following:

  1. A variance request by Vince and Nicole Clune of 03931 State Route 119 to construct a detached accessory building with a height of 18 feet. According to the Village of Minster Zoning Code, the height limit for accessory buildings in a residential district is 15 feet; therefore a 3 foot variance would be required.

Copies of the requests and plans are available for review at the Village of Minster Administrative Offices.

Any person wishing to comment on the proposed requests may attend the meting or call the Zoning Administrator or a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

2008 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report Available

The Village of Minster has completed its 2008 Water Quality Report as mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency. A copy of this report will be mailed to each residential household of the community, as well as businesses and industrial consumers with the May 2008 utility bill. If you do not receive your copy of this report, and would like one, copies are available at the Village Administrative Offices, 5 W. Fourth Street, Minster, Ohio, or by calling 419-628-3497.
